1st series 1990

Episode One
         Dawn Hope as Jenny

         Tom Ballard reluctantly arrives at Bayview Retirement Home with son
         Geoffrey and daughter-in-law Marion, but finds a kindred soul in his
         neighbor, Diana Trent and starts a hunger strike to obtain better
         meals for the residents.

         Diana decides to take her niece's sports car for a spin to Brighton,
         taking Tom along as her navigator, but Harvey puts a damper on things
         by calling in the police.

         After a mild heart episode, Tom decides to commit suicide, leaving
         it to Diana to give him a reason to live.

         Harvey tries to get rid of Diana using her concealed medical
         condition as a lever, so she decides she must prepare Tom to live
         without her.

         Diana intervenes when Harvey uses Jane's new found religious mania as

         After encouraging the Residents' Committee tp spend money, Harvey
         tries again to get rid of Tom and Diana by appealing to his
         son and her niece to have them both declared incompetent and unable

         Tom and Diana get themselves involved in a local election when a
         politician supporting foreign investments courts the elderly vote.

         moving into Bayview to live with Tom when she doesn't want him to
         come back.



3rd Series 1992 EPISODE EIGHTEEN Tim Preece as Reverend Dennis Sparrow Michael Bilton as Basil Tom accidentally acts as matchmaker when he asks a vicar with shaky faith to try and counsel a seriously disturbed Marion. Harvey begins to look for a wife. EPISODE NINETEEN Ben Davis as Tarquin Ania Sowinski as Skye Diana takes Tom's grandchildren in hand while Marion's away, and Jane tries to fiddle with Harvey's application for a computer-matched mate. EPISODE TWENTY Michael Bilton as Basil Paula Ann Bland as Sylvia John Hudson as Job Center Assistant Donald T. Allen as railway porter Diana and Tom look for jobs as Harvey continues his search for a wife and refuses to reinstate the heating. Tom comes home from the hospital, despite Marion's hopes, with a heightened sense of time passing. Geoffrey leaves his wife yet again and mopes around's Tom's apartment. EPISODE THIRTY-NINE Paddy Ward as Jamie Edwards Harvey brings in a Japanese mini-hotel designer to create a new compact housing wing. Tom tries to get Diana to join the Age Resource organization. Jane and Geoffrey become friends. EPISODE FORTY Dawn Hope as Jenny Paddy Ward as Jamie Edwards Nicholas Pritchard as Smith Shawn Williamson as Brown A Royal visit stirs up everybody except Diana, whose sore foot makes her cranky. Marion sleeps with Harvey but thinks it's Geoffrey. Jamie gives Geoffrey a pep talk about winning Marion, resulting in a visit from the uncouth 'Fat Boy' Higgins, motorcycle and all. Jane decides to dedicate her life to God. Jane takes time out from her service to god to urge Diana to accept Tom's proposal. Marion tells Fat Boy to get a job. Harvey becomes a minister of the Church of the Flaming Sword, Las Vegas, as he pursues Jane and membership in the golf club.
